Director Won Kyungsun and Pulmuone
In 1981 At Apkujungdong, Seoul, a small grocery store named The Pulmuone Farm Pollution-Free Produce Outlet opened. It was an attempt at commercializing potential commodity values of organic produce from director Won's Pulmuone Farm. Pumuone as a brand came into being.
In the early stages when Pulmuone was growing from a 'store' into a 'company,' the director constantly urged that business should be run based on 'respect for living beings and love for neighbors.' That's how the brand spirit of Pulmuone shaped itself.
Pulmuone ran a regular series of the director's lectures, so that the director's purpose could be fully understood by the employees. Moreover, the director's social contributions outside the Pulmuone Farm, such as hunger relief works and, environmentally friendly activities, were continuously supported and collaborated on.
